  1. “Your mind is a garden. Your thoughts are the seeds. You can grow flowers or you can grow weeds.” Unknown
  2. “Did you ever grow anything in the garden of your mind? You can grow ideas in the garden of your mind. All you have to do is think and they’ll grow.” Fred Rogers
  3. “Unfortunately, as a society, we do not teach our children that they need to tend carefully the garden of their minds. Without structure, censorship, or discipline, our thoughts run rampant on automatic. Because we have not learned how to more carefully manage what goes on inside our brains, we remain vulnerable to not only what other people think about us, but also to advertising and/or political manipulation.” Jill Bolte Taylor
  4. “We can all learn that we can take full responsibility for what thoughts we are thinking and what emotional circuitry we are feeling. Knowing this and acting on this can lead us into feeling a wonderful sense of well-being and peacefulness.” Jill Bolte Taylor
  5. “Protect your garden of life which is your mind, plant extraordinary seeds in your garden, be sure to take good care of it daily by watering it and don’t allow poisonous weeds in.” Edward Ellis

  1. Hi my name is Jeff and I read dezso ban everyday but usually not before using your compiled lists of training articles. You used to have an awesome quote by some Russian guy whose name I forgot. Anyway the quote talked about something along the lines of understanding the inner workings of man and how he will always be a slave if he doesn’t understand the mechanics of his body. It’s my favorite quote on training philosophy and I was wondering if you could email it to me so I always have it for reference. My email is greathouse.jeff@yahoo.com
I appreciate your time and all the information you help share on the dezso ban blog.

    Thanks,

    Jeff
