Ownership and Choices

The classic (hu)man takes ownership of the choices they have made.

It is sad and funny when people in their thirties, forties, and fifties tell me that there is no point to exercising or eating better because they are just going to “breakdown” anyway. People expect to look and feel like shit as they get older because a lot of older people look and feel like shit.

Let me let you in on a little secret. Just because the majority of people “breakdown” as they age DOES NOT mean it is normal. You do not all of a sudden just start breaking down, getting aches and pains, get fatter, lose muscle.

These things happen because of how you have been living your life. These things happen because of the foods you have been eating. The lack of self awareness you have created for yourself.

These things happen because of the choices you make and have been making each and every day from childhood to where you currently are. It is an accumulation of choices you have made and make each day from young age to adulthood.

It is never too late to turn it around and start making better choices, living in a way that promotes health, that helps you look and feel great as you age. Take ownership and understand the reason you are the way you are is because of the CHOICES you have made and have not made.
