The more unsaturated foods we currently eat or ate growing up, the higher the requirement for vitamin E to protect ourselves and detoxify these unsaturated fats from our body.

This is why I recommend you supplement with vitamin E (opposes unsaturated fats) to facilitate the body in detoxifying the unsaturated fats from a childhood of PUFA poisoning. You do this on top of slowly correcting the diet. If you do not correct the diet then you are simply putting bandaids over bullet holes. However, it is a great start and a strategy that should definitely be used at the start.
