Whenever we purchase food (or anything for that matter, television programs watched, movies, news outlet, social media etc) we are choosing who we support and who we don’t support. Consumers have a powerful voice in determining what is or is not produced when they express their wants and needs in the form of the purchases that they make in the marketplace. These purchases are the “demand” that determines the “supply”.
1. “For sure. But i live by the principle “be the change you want to see” which means, only drink milk from organic farms that are local, not from the store. Which means I am supporting life and not what you explain above. I don’t see the point on focusing on directly changing what you explain above. The more people change the way they live, what you explain will change. It will not just happen cause people lobby or hold up signs, post vids on youtube or exploit these people. I would rather live the change, then just express why we should change. But i hear everything you are saying.” EastWest Healing, Responding to a youtube comment about milk practices

3. “As human beings, our greatness lies not so much in being able to remake the world – that is the myth of the atomic age – as in being able to remake ourselves.” Mahatma Gandhi
4. “You have power over your mind—not outside events. Realize this, and you will find strength.” Marcus Aurelius, Meditations
