One day I was reading the label on a plain gelatin product, and saw that they advertised it to be very high in protein. I thought this would be something to try, so I started putting it into orange juice, stirring it up briskly and drinking it. I used this along with the diet of milk, raw eggs, and soybeans. Now there was a greater vitality in my life, and certainly a marked difference in my training. I varied the gelatin products, many being on the market, and started buying it in a bulk form. "Approximately 90% of Anderson’s diet (by weight) is in liquid form. A large percentage of his solid food is eaten during the evening. The gallon and a half of milk consumed daily constitutes the main portion of his dietary intake. This quantity is not gulped down in large amounts but consumed slowly throughout the day. Plain gelatin and protein supplements
are other key items in Anderson’s food intake.
His breakfast usually consists of three glasses of orange juice and a quart of milk, plus several packages of plain gelatin. Just before his workout he has a bowl of soup containing the juice from beef liver, to “aid in producing good blood.” He replaces the liquid lost through perspiration by consuming two or three quarts of milk during his workout, which lasts from three to four hours. About six o’clock each evening he consumes a regular meal which usually consists of beef or liver, green salad, and a quart of milk. CHOOSE COMPASSION
If you find yourself getting pissed at someone make the conscious choice to focus on compassion and focusing on their humanity.
Let’s face it it’s very easy to get annoyed with individuals in our lives.
Sometimes you have a valid reason and sometimes you don’t … but either way, more often than not the best option is to let it go baby.
Pause, take a breathe, and focus on who they are as a human. We don’t know what this person has been through, or is experiencing today
We tend to think of people with more kindness and compassion when we know their stories.
Remember, that person who annoys the fuck out of you, is an actual human with feelings and hardships just like you.
LET GO OF EXPECTATIONS
We tend to have a picture of how our day and life will play out.
It’s really easy to write the day or life off as a horrible when you have high EXPECTATIONS for how things will turn out, it’s disappointing and frustrating when things don’t go exactly as planned.
When you’re focused on how you expect something to turn out, it can be hard as fuck to see the reality of the situation. If you let go of expectations and open your mind, you can see that life really isn’t so bad.
We are all learning and perfecting our art of navigating through this thing called life.
If you tend to get pissed over the small shit, take a breathe and ask yourself if you’re letting unrealistic expectations affect your experience.
