Learning from the Masters, Steve Reeves – Alternating Curl

Steve Reeves performing the Alternating Curl

One of my favorite biceps movements is the alternating curl.

To perform the movement you curl one arm up, squeezing throughout the motion but especially at the shortened phase, and upon returning to the starting position, the other arm starts to curl, passing each other in the middle of the movement.

The contraction is incredible and really burns the biceps.

Make sure you are extending all the way down performing full range of motion to maximize development and tension and do not allow too much swinging of the body to take away from the biceps from performing the work.
